The difference between servo motor and spindle motor

First, CNC machine tools have different requirements for spindle motor and servo motor:
The requirements of CNC machine tools for feed servo motors are:
(1) Mechanical characteristics: The servo motor is required to have a small speed drop and high rigidity;
(2) Requirements for rapid response: This is more demanding in contour machining, especially for high-speed machining of workpieces with large curvature;
(3) Speed regulation range: This can make CNC machine tools suitable for a variety of different tools and processing materials; adapt to a variety of different processing techniques;
(4) A certain output torque and requires a certain overload torque. The nature of the machine tool feed mechanical load is mainly to overcome the friction of the table and the resistance of the cutting, so it is mainly the nature of "constant torque".
The main requirements for the spindle motor are:
(1) Sufficient output power, the spindle load property of CNC machine tools is similar to "constant power", that is, when the spindle speed of the machine tool is high, the output torque is small; when the spindle speed is low, the output torque is large; that is, the spindle is required. The drive device should have the property of "constant power";
(2) Speed regulation range: To ensure that CNC machine tools are suitable for various tools and processing materials; adapt to various processing techniques, the spindle motor is required to have a certain speed regulation range. However, the requirements for the spindle are lower than the feed;
(3) Speed accuracy: Generally, the static difference is less than 5%, and the higher requirement is less than 1%;
(4) Fast: The spindle drive is sometimes used in the positioning function, which requires it to have a certain speed.
Second, the servo motor and the spindle motor have different output indexes. The servo motor uses torque (N.m) and the spindle uses power (kW) as an indicator.
This is because the servo motor and the spindle motor have different functions in the CNC machine. The servo motor drives the table of the machine tool. The load damping of the table is the torque that is equivalent to the motor shaft. Therefore, the servo motor uses the torque (Nm) as an indicator. . The spindle motor drives the spindle of the machine tool, and its load must meet the power of the machine tool, so the spindle motor is measured by the power (kW). This is the customary name. In fact, through the conversion of the mechanical formula, these two indicators can be mutually calculated.
