On June 16th, the first day of ESSEN Exhibition, Step's booth was crowded with many bright spots-high-tech welding of steel structure, power tower foot, electric vehicle, intersecting line, construction machinery and other industries.
The Step power tower foot welding solution has been verified by many tower companies in the China Power Construction and China Energy Construction Systems. Practice has proved that it is the only stable and available power tower foot welding solution on the market. The processing and manufacturing of power towers is a typical multi-variety and small batch. In addition, the consistency of incoming materials is not good due to manual pairing. Some work pieces have overlapping factors such as the national second-level weld inspection requirements. In the past, automatic welding has not been possible.
In response to market demand, Step quickly adjusted to the characteristics of short weld seams, multiple weld beads, and multiple empty strokes of two-wheeled electric vehicles. Loaded with self-developed robot dynamics algorithm, the welding idle stroke speed increased by 30%; optimized robot teaching realizes foolish operation, and the training cycle is shortened by 30%; and the launch of a thin plate low-spatter welding suit, which uses a fully digital system to accurately control current and voltage, reduces the amount of spatter by 65%-80%, removes spatter and cleans the nozzle significantly reduced, efficiency is improved.
Step innovatively applies 3D vision and parametric programming to the welding of steel structures, uses parametric programming to determine the approximate position of the weld of the work piece, and uses a 3D camera to capture the three-dimensional information of the work piece in real time, and quickly and stably extract the weld information. The bit speed is increased by 80%, which solves the problem of welding efficiency. This technology has been successfully used in multi-scene welding of complex work pieces such as steel structures, steel bars, heat exchangers, and mesh structures.
