On July 15, the unveiling ceremony of the Talent training and industry-university-research cooperation base between Tongji University and STEP was held in the lecture hall of STEP Siyi Road Factory. Zhu Qinyue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of College of Electronic and Information Engineering, Tongji University, Deputy General manager of STEP, General manager of Frequency Conversion Division, and Dr. Jin Xinhai, director of Enterprise Technology Center, attended the meeting and inaugurated the cooperation base.
Deputy Secretary Zhu Qinyue said that Tongji University and STEP have been deeply cooperating in teacher training, student internship, employment recommendation and other aspects for more than one year. In the future, Tongji University will continue to cooperate in robotics, intelligent manufacturing and other fields, and make full use of the university's technical accumulation and social resources to undertake STEP's research and development projects in electrical, communication and software. Cultivate talents for STEP, provide new force for technology research and development, and work with enterprises to promote discipline progress and industrial development.
Dr. Jin Xinhai reviewed the history of cooperation between Tongji University and STEP and expressed his gratitude to Tongji University for its support and assistance in the past. It also introduced the situation of the newly established STEP University and invited Tongji University to join the STEP
Academic Alliance. Based on the previous cooperation, it will focus on providing internship, training and employment opportunities for outstanding graduates. It will also open the resources of STEP's National Enterprise Technology Center, Academia Sinica and laboratory to jointly cultivate leading talents in science and technology. STEP will also invite experts and scholars from the school to give lectures at STEP.
More than 70 people attended the unveiling ceremony, including teachers and students from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering of Tongji University, STEP Vice President and general manager of Robotics Division Zhou Guangxing, and STEP Academia Sinica President Dr. Chen Wei. We also visited STEP Robot Gigafactory, robot manufacturing robot intelligent production line, elevator control system intelligent production line, drive and control all-in-one machine intelligent production line and CAVE Laboratory.
