July 11, 2021 is an unforgettable day. With the promotion of the starting lever, the plaque of STEP University was unveiled, which marks the official launch of STEP University on that day.


In the past year, in line with the concept of "talent is strategy" and the purpose of "customer satisfaction, employee pride and dream achievement", STEP University has carried out a series of practical and forward-looking high-quality courses under the guidance of Mr. Ji Defa, the founder of STEP University and the president of STEP University. According to statistics, as of November 2022, STEP University has organized a number of training sessions, with a total of more than 300 people participating in the training. The topics include professional lectures on intelligent programmable automation controller, machine vision theory and application and other product technologies, as well as training courses for grassroots cadres and new graduates in 2022. There is also DFM theory and practical training to improve R&D manufacturability. After training, the trainees will apply the relevant new ideas, new knowledge and new skills to the actual work, and strive to learn to think, learn and apply each other, and the training effect has been preliminarily verified.


Taking DFM training as an example, with the continuous emergence of new projects and technologies of the company, the R&D and introduction of new products often encounter insufficient product manufacturability analysis, resulting in poor product and process design, resulting in quality problems and cost losses caused by changes during production.


In September, after the full investigation and understanding of STEP University, we set up a two-day "DFM-Reliability Design for Manufacturing" training to guide students to consider all aspects of production in the design stage and plan the process route in advance, so as to improve the success rate of the product design project and promote the product to be produced as soon as possible and put on the market in large quantities.


The number of students is 90, all of whom are R&D elites from the company's five business fields. After the training, the R&D engineers had a conceptual framework for the design of the manufacturing process, and put forward many good ideas and views, which were absorbed and summarized by STEP University, and the design and structure design of PCBA were selected as the pilot for implementation first.



In the subsequent implementation, each PCB file and structure design need to be reviewed before processing. In order to prevent errors and omissions in the audit, the checklist method is specially applied, and all the mistakes made before are included in the list, which is checked one by one to ensure accuracy before the board is sent out, which will greatly reduce the process problems in the trial production stage. At present, this list has been gradually promoted and applied in the whole R&D system of STEP Group.



This is the STEP University, which plays an important role as the "power source" in the development of STEP. Through resource integration, STEP University will build a professional and comprehensive training center and training program to cultivate various talents in the field and help enterprises achieve their transformation and strategic goals.
